Nitya Mehra is a writer/director based out of Mumbai. She worked as an Assistant Director for many years on various Indian and international films such as Little Zizou (2008) and The Last Days of the Raj (2007).

She began her longtime association with Excel Entertainment on Lakshya (2004) and subsequently on Don (2006). She has also worked on other international projects such as The Namesake (2006) and Life of Pi (2012).

While Nitya has directed a number of short films and TVC’s, her first big directorial project was on the Indian franchise of the hit TV show 24 in 2013. She is currently directing her first feature film, Baar Baar Dekho, co-produced by Excel Entertainment and Dharma Productions.

Nitya finished working on ‘Made in Heaven’ – web series for Amazon Prime in 2019. She has directed 3 episode and is the executive producer for the rest of the episodes.
